Thousand-Plus Gather For Ted Cruz In Nashville Ahead of Christmas
Breitbart ^ | 22 December, 2015 | Michael Patrick Leahy

Posted on 12/22/2015 9:13:53 PM PST by JSDude1

NASHVILLE, Tennessee–An exuberant crowd of more than 1,000 supporters greeted GOP presidential contender Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)

97%

at the Rocketown entertainment center in downtown Nashville. Buoyed by a recent Quinnipiac Poll that shows Cruz has narrowed the gap behind front runner Donald Trump to just four points (28 percent to 24 percent), the junior Senator from Texas brimmed with confidence in his speech to voters in this important March 1 SEC primary state.

Cruz told reporters that Donald Trump “may well be right” that it’s becoming a two man race between the two of them:

I did think it was interesting Donald said a couple of days ago that he thought that the Republican race could come down just to him and me. I think he may well be right. If you u look at the polling numbers, we are surging in the polls, and Donald may well be right, because it’s turning more and more into a two man race between Donald Trump and me.

“If that’s the case,” Cruz added, “the decision will be made by the voters, and it will be made by the voters in terms of who has the experience, who has the record, who has been a consistent conservative, standing for the Constitution, standing for our freedoms, standing with the American people,” Cruz said.

The event began in a festive holiday spirit.

Sister got to go to a Cruz press conference the other day, but it was so crowded she was not able to shake his hand as she had hoped.

Recall the crows Romney turned out compared with the paltry Obama rallies?

Cruz is the thinking Conservative’s candidate.

Trump drew 4,000 when he went to Nashville

Who counted? Trump, or say perhaps the local Fire Marshall that is responsible for not allowing in too many people due to fire codes? The Fire Marshal in Phoenix claimed a room had 4500 (capacity and a good crowd) and was not overcrowded but Trump claimed 15k people. Who was right, the one that had clickers counting people at the entrance, or Trump?

Why not just claim any number you want? If nobody is there to correct you. Maybe Cruz only got 500 people there after all, we don't know, someone has to do the estimation for these numbers. Why not hire Baghdad Bob as your official crowd estimator. Trump claimed 40k in Mobile, but some there doubted the numbers. Nobody knows where these numbers come from, your link didn't give an answer where the numbers came from. Sanders claimed crowds way larger than Clinton did, but who really knows.

FR is becoming a battle of who has the biggest Schlong. All I know is perhaps it would not be such an honor to be the one measuring.

B. S.

Plenty folks know Ted isn’t going anywhere.

They’ve been following Trump and know he’s going to do a great job.

1/10th to 1/30th of Trump’s crowds.

Rather pathetic.

Just sayin...

First of new year...time for Trump and Cruz to team up and spend the entire year traveling all over the U.S.A. and sell their message of ~~~

MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN...

Eight years of Trump and eight years of Cruz...and we should pretty well be back to a NATION OF PRIDE AND HONOR...

Can't we just have a little of each?

No. Furthermore, pretending and fantasizing that we can, that it is on the menu, is a hamster wheel of wasted time. There's a task before us.

We have to choose one. NOW. Only one.

Trump gets 7,000 on a bad night. That’s the tell. Not making fun of Cruz but that’s the difference.

Question, if Cruz speaks to a thousand people who are undecided, and gets 60% of them to say WOW that’s our guy; and trump speaks to 10 thousand people who already have decided, who has made the better gain.
Trump with large crowds with no new voters,
or Cruz talking to a thousand and convincing 600 new voters to vote for him.
While I will admit that there is no way to tell the swing from these rallies. Talking to smaller crowds gives a more personal experience, which if Ted explains his positions, it will leave a better experience for the attendees. There is a reason that “retail politics” works.
