Conservative group targets Ted Cruz in Iowa [Huckabee Super PAC)

With concern about Ted Cruz rising among rival Republican camps, a new GOP-aligned group is stepping forward in hopes of sinking him.

Starting Wednesday, the Iowa Progress Project will begin a $200,000 media campaign targeting Cruz in the state, where the Texas senator has emerged as the front-runner in a number of recent polls. The commercials, which will air through Dec. 29, will be focused in the Sioux City media market.

The conservative group, which will be airing ads on TV and radio, is the brainchild of Nick Ryan, a longtime political strategist in Iowa who was a former top aide to GOP ex-Rep. Jim Nussle. Ryan is the president of Pursuing America's Greatness, a super PAC supporting Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.

I’m a Trump guy, but this is proof that Huckster is GOPe. Obviously fronting this to damage Ted and try to knock him down. If Ted loses Iowa to Trump, that seriously impacts Ted further down road and gives the GOPe the chance to pave a lane for the Rube or Jebra, who while way down is still hanging around.

I think Huckabee is an honorable man. Hope he doesn’t disappoint me by letting this crap go on in his name.

If Ted doesn’t win Iowa, his next chance is in SEC southern primaries, and by then Trump will have more wins than Romney had.

The one thing I hope is the GOPe stays divided and the opposition to the GOPe wins.

We got to get rid of the cheap labor express, get the people who are long term unemployed back to work, close the borders, bring back the overseas cash, build the Keystone pipeline, sell oil abroad, lower taxes on corporations so the don’t leave the USA like they have been doing, ease regulations.

Iowa Progress Project is the second group to target Cruz. In recent weeks he has also come under attack from America's Renewable Future, a pro-ethanol group headed by the son of Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad.

The same son of a Branstad who killed two innocent people trashes Ted Cruz for supporting a free market economy.

If both Trump and Cruz continue as they are and prevent each other from getting majorities in 8 state primaries then the GOPe will nominate the candidate, regardless of how many or how few votes the gopes get in the primaries..
