yeah... not going to happen... He’ll be too busy being President of the United States. ; )
A great thought, but bump McConnell down about 5 pegs.
Lyndon Johnson thought that was going to happen when he was elected VP with Kennedy in 1960. He got a rude awakening on the first day of the new Congress in 1961.
AG..........
Can a Vice President take his proper role as “The” Senate President? Or, is the VP always relegated to second fiddle to the President Pro Tempore?
At least until Ruth Bader calls it’s QUITS.
I don’t believe Cruz would not accept VP slot. Career killer. Besides Trump would have a better ticket with anyone else.
That would be great!
Good question. My initial thought was that the power of the VP wrt the Senate is that he or she only has the power to cast tie-breaking votes. I’m not sure.
I predict that if Trump wins the nomination he will not select Cruz as his running mate. Instead, Cruz will be offered AG.
Trump:Executive
imho
I actually brought that up in a conversation awhile back.

Imagine what a constitutional scholar as Senate President could get accomplished....
The schadenfreude would be delicious!
I would slake my thirst with the tears of Mitch McConnel and Lindsey Graham.
Yes.
It’s happening.
No matter how it breaks down,
With Trump or Cruz both McConnell and Ryan will be kicked out of leadership.
I’d be fine with it, but Cruz as Supreme Court Justice and then Chief Justice might be better in the long run...
Merry Christmas Boss!
I think the Trump/Cruz dynamic will be lick a President/Prime Minister situation, or in business terms, Trump is CEO and Cruz will be COO.
After one term Cruz takes over.
That would be good. It was Reagan’s mistake to agree to take GHW Bush. Reagan wanted Paul Laxalt and we would be much better off if Laxalt had followed Reagan in the Presidency.
Be still my beating heart!!!
Trump has said he wouldn’t do what Cruz did as a Conservative senator so I doubt he’ll make Cruz VP with that thinking.
They have diametrically opposing worldviews and they both know it well. Trump is running to make “America Great Again”, while hopefully Cruz is running to bring it to a last nanosecond repentance before God withdraws his mercy and blesssing.
