Planned Parenthood and White House Take Victory Lap Following Massive Spending Bill Negotiations Dec. 16, 2015

The $1.1 trillion omnibus bill leaves Planned Parenthood funding unscathed, despite some efforts by abortion opponents in Congress to curb — or at least do an audit of — the taxpayer dollars going to the organization. This has both the White House and the nation’s largest abortion provider to declaring victory.

“There was a period of time earlier this fall when I was asked frequently if the administration would accept any riders related to Planned Parenthood funding,” White House press secretary Josh Earnest said, while talking about numerous other issues. “We did not.”

Asked about a rider related to the IRS and an audit of Planned Parenthood, “we did not accept that rider either,” Earnest continued. “So, we walked into these negotiations focused on making sure that Republicans would not succeed in advancing their ideological agenda through the budgetary process.”

The push to roll back funding came after the release of shocking undercover videos that appeared to show Planned Parenthood executives promoting the sale of unborn baby body parts.

“Many of my colleagues and I still believe the better choice for taxpayers is to redirect Planned Parenthood’s federal funding to the thousands of community health centers that are actually providing health services to women in need,” Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), chairman of the conservative House Freedom Caucus told TheBlaze in a statement.

Planned Parenthood Action Fund Vice President Dana Singiser praised Democratic congressional leaders and “pro-women’s health champions on the appropriations committees” for “holding the line against these harmful policy riders and cuts to key women’s health programs.”

at 47, I was duped for the last time. The republicans are monsters for deceiving us.

one FReeper told me stop being so dramatic, they have stopped some legislation that obama wanted.

But i thought legislature came FROM congress. but with this pres, i guess not.

It is Cruz and Trump against almost Everybody. If they win, i stay republican.

IF they dont, they should go start a REAL conservative party.

Why should it be labeled third party. Who wrote in stone that dems and repubs are number 1 and 2 kings and queens.

Videos of them selling baby body parts to the highest bidder.

Taxpayer funding continues.

There’s no evil the Uniparty can’t continue and our voices don’t matter.

The next election is less than eleven months away. What about the constituents? Do you think any of the Representatives will be held accountable for their votes?

Did the Republicans defend ANY of our Constitutional Conservative priorities?

When they were a minority, they had some spunk in them. Now, they're more disgusting than the dems are. Why? The dems are doing what they campaigned on doing. "Our" side bare-assed lied.

I begin to wonder if everyone in congress has acknowledged to themselves that the bottom really is going to fall out of the economy soon and a complete crash in inevitable. Thus, it has become every man for himself. They are selling themselves to every interest they can to amass as big a nest egg as possible before the big event. How else to explain the passing of a spending bill by so many Republicans that repudiates virtually every single position they ran on. These House members are up for election this November, they know people will remember this. I usually am the first to laugh at the tin foil hat, “the end is here” crowd but I can’t help the feeling these politicians know something we don’t and that is their motivation. I think 2016 is going to be a very fruitful year.

"I think 2016 is going to be a very fruitful year."

"fruitful" = eventful. (bad word choice)
