Too bad. I personally know LTG Mulholland. Years ago we both served in the 5th SFGA together at FT Bragg. John also led TF Dagger that employed the first SF teams that took down the Taliban in 2001/2 with 150 Green Berets and the Special Ops Air Component.

He can be gruff at times (all warriors can) but hell, that is part of being a Commander. I'm certain much of this ado was for show and certain folks just took it wrong. Then again, this might be the military of today where perfume princess officers get offended easily.

Decades ago, in the shade of a Louisiana scrub-pine, a Drill Sergeant spoke unkind words to me. I’ve been in counseling ever since...

John was always full of fire. As a 1LT he shuffle stepped down the O Club bar and put his head through the ceiling doing a “ceiling check”. That became known as “Mulholland's hole”

I semi-crossed paths with him again while he was CO of Dagger and I was a LNO REMF in TF KBAR.

More woosifiation of the military. Some people just can't understand the commander's intent until they are a victim of his rage. If the SF can't handle some Strong (non-PC) words from the boss, I would not want to depend on them to support me in combat.
