Because no one is able to co-sign her student loans, Ashley Fleming, a 24-year-old college senior with one more semester left, may not be able to graduate. With close to $100,000 in student loans, and no longer allowed to take another leave of absence to work, Fleming has resorted to crowdfunding her tuition and set up a GoFundMe page to ask for help.

Well, there's an idea for her..........................
I hope this teaches her something.
Make no mistake as to why this article is published. We are supposed to feel sorry for her...politicians will tell us how Europe has free college...and Hillary will promise it in her bag of goodies to buy votes.
Let me guess... a “-studies” major.
Don’t worry. It won’t.
L
If she’s reasonably good-looking, she could easily make $50,000 a year in DC as an “escort”. A problem of her own making solved by her own effort.
Just saying.
What an idiot!
Yes, I'm sure she'll be able to pay of her $125,000 in student loans off what she makes from that.
Not free, other people's money.
Yours!

Exhausting the help from her family, with her sister co-signing for one semesterâs loan, Fleming took three leaves of absences from her studies to work full time and pay her tuition out of pocket. She also took out whatever private loans she could on her own. Like most schools, there are strict rules about how much leave you can take at American University, and Fleming isnât allowed anymore time off.
Last month, in the middle of her senior year, she learned her private loan application was denied. Now, the $23,707 she owes American University for the current semester needs to be paid off by Dec. 25 in order for Fleming to be able to enroll for her final semester.
“Since I have started my gofundme page, I have heard of about at least five other students in this situation.” says Fleming. âItâs unfortunate that I wasnât aware of all of my options before beginning my education.” Since she started her crowdfunding effort last month, Fleming has raised over $3,000.
We taxpayers already provide “almost-free” university educations for millions and millions of students at state and locally-funded institutions of higher learning.
She did not have to elect for an expensive $172,000 education at a private college.....
if she makes it, SUPER WONDERFUL. if she doesn’t make it, well....”elections have consequences”....
We see SO MANY students succeeding — nicely, too — at local community colleges and state universities. This young lady has no special call on our heartstrings, sorry
I feel so bad for her.
I hope the government takes money from all the rest of you and gives it to her.
I’m confident a GoFundMe page will solve everything...
Are we supposed to feel sorry for her because I sure don’t. I know lots of kids who don’t get to go to their “dream” school. Should have gone to a cheaper college dummy.
Isn't that what guidance counselors are for?
WHAT’S her major?
How do we know if & how she will pay “us” back?
Is there a picture?
Mt tuition at AU was $2000 per year in the late ‘60s.
.
The lamestream media is overflowing with these sob stories. They are setting the stage for a Democrat proposal to forgive student loans. I’d stake a month’s pay on it.
I went to college and worked and paid as i went. It took me longer but I graduated with work experience and graduated with zero owed in student loan debt.
