....Obama is preparing to take questions from reporters at the White House before starting his annual Hawaii vacation.
The White House says Obama will hold his traditional year-end news conference on Friday afternoon. Then the president will depart for San Bernardino, California, where he plans to meet with families of the 14 victims of the recent mass shooting. Obama doesn't plan any public appearances while in California.

What about private fundraisers?
Whenever possible, King Obongobongo will schedule "official business" away from DC to coincide with fundraisers so that the taxpayers get stuck with most of the transportation and security costs, rather than draining the party coffers.
In this case, since the visit with the families of those workplace violence victims is "official business", the taxpayers will have the privilege of paying for part of the King's vacation travel to Hawaii.
I wonder if Michelle Antoinette and daughters Malaria and Sharia will fly with the King, or take a separate flight? And what about the First Dog?
