“So, an air attack on Iran nuclear facilities, preemptive or responsive, would be one way missions. So, these subs are a smart solution for sure.”
Thanks for your added analysis. I appreciate being further schooled on the tactics of weaponry, in this case, what Israel wants these subs for. I like it when those in the know or are connected with the military in some fashion, join in the conversation. Imparting one’s expertise and/or knowledge is very important to both Freepers and Visitors to FR. Here’s to lifelong learning; It’s good for all of us. Our daily dose, lol.
Three missiles isn’t a bad number in one sense. Israel’s sub fleet is small (5-6 boats in another year) and their maritime access is somewhat limited. The anti-sub and anti-ship roles cannot be ignored.
“Who sez things will be cozy between Trump and Israel? Didnât Trump pizz on Netanyahuâs leg two weeks ago, and have to cancel a visit, etc?”
All I’m saying is that Trump would NEVER have a standing order to shoot down any Israeli military craft - especially any heading towards Iran.
Yes. I would even say I could foresee a much improved rapport with Israel under Donald. But I would hope and expect these little dust-ups to be few and far between, too.
Ideally, Don would keep his nose out of Israel’s business. They only need to KNOW we’ve got their back.
Good take!
taking a look! thanks for the link
