"Right now our goal is we're going to put a lot of our resources into Iowa, and that's what we're doing," Sarah Huckabee Sanders said. "Obviously, if we go to Iowa and lose — well frankly we probably won't keep going."

Just a few more weeks and Huckabee will be gone. I wonder how many of the other marginal candidates will throw in the towel after Iowa and New Hampshire?

He’s done excellent in all his debates this year, but he seen as a has-been who released criminals who lied about their Christian conversions.

Huckabee did a good thing sticking up for Trump in an earlier debate.

I'll never forget him for that. I hope that he has a Merry Christmas.

From the looks of Huckabee, he ate ALL the squirrels himself.

I like Huck as a non-politician. He should get his Fox News gig back.

Hucks a good man— he would make a very good Pres-— same for Santorum. Its just that they both dont resonate with the voters. I’d vote for them over Lyn-see, Carly, Kasich, Jebbers, Paul, Boy Blunder and even Krispy.

Don't think for one moment that Huckabee isn't a politian. He definitely is.

He "preaches to the choir," goes all out to get fundamentalist voters to pull them away from other conservative Christians, and, as in the case of 2012, tossed his support to a non-conservative, non-Christian, Mitt Romney.

Speaking of thinning out, who goes after Iowa beside Huck?
Linda? Santorum?

Huckabee didn’t run in 2012 and had no “support” to toss to anyone. He endorsed Romney and helped raise money for him, but only after he became the GOP nominee. That’s just being a team player and doing whatever it takes to beat Obama.

A lot of people on FR still regurgitate that nonsensical hit piece on Huckabee by the Club For Growth, which hated him for being critical of Wall Street (events of 2008 ended up proving him right). They painted him as a tax-loving socialist, the furthest thing from the truth. He actually inherited a state in fiscal chaos with a 90% Dem legislature and a Dem Gov. who was going to prison. The roads and bridges were awful, businesses were moving out, there was a court order to spend more on schools, and nothing left to cut from the budget. The state constitution required a balanced budget and banned the borrowing of money. Raising taxes was literally the only possible option, short of shutting down the schools, opening up the prisons and slashing Medicaid. Huckabee at least insisted that the voters be allowed to decide on the taxes, and when the crisis passed, he forced the legislature to return the money, not spend more. I’d love to know what some of the people who bash him on FR would have done differently if they’d been dealt the same cards.

Hucke and Sanctorum don’t have the force of personality to lead the country at this desperate juncture.

I erred on the actual year - not 2012, as you say but it was 2008. Unfortunately, I worked diligently on both campaigns, was a delegate to both conventions and watched as good conservative candidates were left in a trash heap only to have the RNC shove a liberal candidate down our throats!

While Huckabee was chosen in the KS Primary, we watched as the anathema of conservatism, John McCain, was picked as our candidate.

As I said to most Kansans I know, had Sarah Palin not been chosen as VP, McCain would have gotten the fewest votes in any Presidential election in history!

Was Huckabee truly conservative - no but he was closer than many others.

Did I want to see the fellow SBC member and former Pastor win the Primary - NO!
