Nation's Pre-eminent Voice on Marriage & Family supports Cruz for President
HOUSTON, Texas – Presidential candidate Ted Cruz today announced the endorsement of Dr. James Dobson, one of the nation's most trusted spokesmen and advisors on marriage, child development and the family.
Dr. Dobson is the founder and president of Family Talk, where he produces a radio program heard on 1300 outlets around the world and on the Internet. Dobson has advised three presidents on matters pertaining to marriage and the family. He is the author of more than 30 books dedicated to preserving and equipping families, including classics such as Love Must Be Tough, Love for a Lifetime, When God Doesn't Make Sense, The New Dare to Discipline, Bringing Up Girls, Bringing Up Boys, and Your Legacy: The Greatest Gift.
"Ted Cruz's record on religious liberty, life, and marriage is second to none in this Republican field," Dobson said. Dobson earned a Ph.D. in child development from the University of Southern California and holds 17 honorary degrees. In 2008 he was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame.

Dr. Dobson is married to Shirley Dobson, the Chairwoman of The National Day of Prayer Task Force. Together the couple authored Nightlight: A Devotional for Couples. They are the parents of two children and have two grandchildren.

Does this really matter and to how many people? Who changes their choice based on this?
Dr. Dobson is a great Christian man. He is a fountain of courage, and a proud American.
People of sound mind who do not follow politics closely, that’s who.
Like it or not, high profile endorsement DO have a positive effect.
I have to admit, this endorsement does nothing to change my mind.
Of course, I consider James Dobson to be a compromiser and soft, too...

I often quote Dr Dobson .....He said anybody that is not socially Conservative is a rino...I agree with him on that.
Anybody that is not pro life/ pro family is really not a Conservative.
To be the opposite means you are for Liberal anti Christian supreme Court Judges

Apparently “true Christian Evangelicals” vote for whomever (insert person here) orders them to vote for.
Amazingly none of these guys have the ability to get these people to polls in November, and this voting bloc has a nasty habit of deciding to stay home very easily for the smallest of reasons.
But Cruz wants to hinge everything on them. So whatever.
Endorsements are a little better than yard signs. They may not influence many to change their vote, but they are nice in the big picture.
On another note, Putin endorsed Trump.

Christian evangelicals support a variety of candidates. Dobson is a good man and his advice is valuable. They don’t always agree. Many will this time.
Trump got an endorsement today, too. Who was it? Oh yeah. Putin.
They badmouth everyone who dares to disagree with their king.
Their guy leaves God out of communion while he has his little cracker and wine. Trump worships himself.
Actually yes, I know who James Dobson is, and yes, I think he could be a lot firmer.
I like Dodson. I think Cruz should endorse him.

I’ve always considered them to be at best fickle voters that will abandon candidates at the rumor of them having done some vice 30 years ago.
Oh I’ll guarantee you they will do it with Cruz as well.
They are also the ones I hold mostly responsible for destroying the image of Christianity in America because of their backing of crooked televangelists...which they still do to this day.
But yeah, I forgot conservative = Thou shall speak no grievance of evangelicals.
As a fundamentalist (which the MSM think are “evangelicals”), I will vote for who I think is best, not who one of “my leaders” tells me to.
