Living in the NY/NJ area, tolls are out of control. Now that most of us have the transponders, the tolls start to creep upwards. I paid $1.66 last time I went through a small section of NYS Thruway.
$1.66!
Next month it will probably be $1.71. Then $1.78.

I think all Thruway toll rates are in five-cent increments. If you paid $1.66 then you must have gotten a discount for using E-ZPass or traveling off-peak.
