Republican and Democratic negotiators in the House clinched a deal late Tuesday on a $1.1 trillion spending bill and a huge package of tax breaks.
Legislative drafters, racing a midnight deadline, met the time limit for issuing the tax package but apparently missed it for the spending bill. That could push back a vote on the House floor by one day, until Friday.
The late-hour tension emphasized the deep disagreements over an array of policy provisions that have left weeks of negotiations tinged with acrimony. Since the Republicans took back control of the House in 2011, a majority in the party has routinely opposed compromise budget and spending measures, forcing party leaders to rely on Democrats for votes to clear the bills. All signs indicate that the same dynamic is playing out now.

There were indications late Tuesday that Mr. Ryan and Republicans had been forced to give substantial ground, and that the spending measure would not include provisions tightening restrictions on Syrian and Iraqi refugees.

GOPe caves again and passes Democrap budget ... no reduction in spending ... "huge package of tax cuts" means postponing Obamacare tax hikes ... same old -- same old!
They’re going to take MORE of our money and freedom all while wiping their asses with us.
Isn’t Obamaland great?
Well you keep voting for it America. :)
While we were all watching the debate and distracted Ryan just stabbed us all in the back.
Typical establishment...
Vote republican, no matter what!
No requirement for social security numbers to get child tax credits as well I suppose ...
They know how to play us like a fiddle.
All of the emotions we put into the presidential contest and these “Hell In A Cell” demolition derbies called ‘debates’ suck up valuable energy that could be used to plan for 250 plus contests that need to be fought next year against the RINO’s in Congress.
236 House members including mine, Scott Perry of Pennsylvania, supported Paul Ryan for Speaker.
Senator Pat Toomey of my state, who constantly toys with gun control legislation, is also unworthy of re-election along with most senators up next year.
95 percent of Republicans are not real conservatives and would not support real change even if we had someone good in the White House.
I want these people to be defeated with conservatives challenging them in primaries and if the RINO’s win the primaries, run third party candidates and if the big parties have rules preventing third parties, run as write-ins.
If all that leads to a Democrat, so be it. What’s the difference?
In France, the National Front just forced the two big parties of “the Right” and “the Left” to join forces to defeat them.
They proved through building their ‘third party’ up to 40 percent plus support that the two major parties of their country are really one party, a Uniparty.
When will we do the same in this country?
My state legislature run by Republicans here in PA is readying a big spending increase budget bill followed by a tax hike bill in conjunction with the Democrat governor.
They will dump it on us this weekend and right before Christmas when people are too busy with preparations for the holiday.
This same strategy is needed to deal with most of the GOP in the state legislatures of our country, too.
Thanks to the gutless RINOS we’ll still be paying to kill babies via Planned Parenthood.

Is planned parenthood defunded?
Why if we hadn’t given control of Congress to the Republicans who knows what might have happened, Ryno and McWeasal have stepped forward to save the government once again and piss all over the people in the process. But we absolutely positively had to have a Republican congress or else we were doomed, doomed I say...
I’m sure the lesser of two evil crowd are proud to be on the Republican Plantation today and will be here shortly to tell us what a great deal this turd sandwich is for us.
Things that make you go hmmmm. ;)
