The Saudis helped to create the mess of ISIS as a proxy to fight Assad and hurt Iran.
I guess they have to step in to at least appear to be cleaning up the mess but it was ideology from their country along with many Saudi citizens and or residents (Tashfeen Malik) that has always fueled the terrorism in our world from 9/11 on down the line.

The King is unable to change any part of Islam. If he does he will be killed by any faithful who can do so. The king’s job is to keep Islam in its pure and unaltered state as set by Mohamed. In answer to your question, nothing will change.
Why don’t I trust the Saudis to run the anti-terrorist program?
I also don’t trust them standing up some NATO-like military command for Sunni countries.
I also wouldn’t trust them for the time of day.
I guess the Caliphate will be capitaled in Saudi Arabia now.
