I commented yesterday that the surest way to raise the price of crude was to start another war in the ME.

Looks like that's about to happen.

ISIS has been smuggling oil in trucks to refineries in Iraq and Turkey in defiance of OPEC, using the money to prop up their regime. If SA can take out this upstart oil producer, ease the worldwide oil glut, and create a sense of panic in the ME, oil prices will double and double again.

BTW, I know this is just a coincidence but the price of gas at the pump shot up eighteen cents last night...

Heaven sent even if paying attention (or at least trying to) is supposed to part of keeping up.

It’s almost worth LETTING Putin take over SA.

Seriously. We’ll be OK. Destroy Mecca, pants islam for the sham that it is, and let’s get on with it.

If Putin had the SA, life would be pretty good. Putin would have his warm water port, his oil, Europe.

We could do our thing with Asia. You’d be down to Eurasia and Oceania. Bout what Orwell predicted.

Tell Europe, “Oh well, next time don’t kill so many Jews.”

As usual, it means the exact opposite of what the government says it is.

Exactly!

This is a proxy war, with ISIS both the proxy and the red herring.

That's not a critique of Islam. It's a critique of Wahhabism and the effect it has on the minds of those who are inculcated by Saudi culture.

I would not separate Wahhabism from Islam as if it is some kind of a Muslim heresy. Personally I think it is he correct interpretation of Islam as directed in the Koran and Hadiths.
To me Wahhabism is what Islam is all about as practiced by Muhammed, and the early Caliphs who followed Muhammed.

Wahhabism is a back to basics movement in Islam against many practitioners of Islam that have drifted away from what Allah and Muhammed want done. -Tom

Enjoy those prices while you can. Just read another American company went belly up with 1 billion dollars of debt.

Agree. The world needs to treat Islam like the world treated Nazism - rid of the world of it, it’s far worse.

Yep. Turkey goes to fight ISIS, and bombs the Kurds. The US goes to fight ISIS, and bombs Syrian troops. Russia goes to fight ISIS, and bombs rebel forces. Saudi Arabia goes to fight ISIS, and .... well that should be obvious by now.

“... he has a way of making things easier to understand.”

Or easier to misunderstand.

In terms of geo-politics/history he is pretty accurate, but when he launches into theology, that is, the interpretation of Scripture, I’m sorry no. Because he does not understand the New Testament as a whole he does not understand the part of it that is Revelation.

Not looking for an argument, just stating my assessment.

Most of us, who've studied eschatology, come away with our own assessment. I've never found anyone whose thinking matches mind perfectly, plus my own thinking changes over time. Even so, I welcome and respect the opinions of others on the matter, as I usually find a new piece of the puzzle to play with - as was the case in the interview here. ;-)

The interview Jim linked to with Avi Lipkin is a VERY good one - I highly recommend it to all! Guarantee you're going to learns some things. When he talks about his wife, she is Egyptian and also is/was an intelligence specialist for Israel. He discounts her work by saying she listens to the "radio or watches TV". She obviously has more sources than local radio or TV stations.

Here he talks about Saudi Arabia possibly having nukes and to expect 50 - 60 million Muslim immigrants to America. What may seem like geo-political, may actually be fulfillment - we shall see. :-)
