They will support Cruz, a man they hate, to stave off the institutional destruction that Trump would bring.

Well between Trump and Cruz who else would the GOPe go for? He’s going to be a lot easier to keep corralled than Trump. Cruz is not itching to build a yuge wall on the border and make Mexico pay for it. Cruz is not going to invoke a moratorium on Muslim immigration and he’s certainly not going to start rounding up and deporting the illegals. There is a lot for the GOPe to like there.
Trump means drastic change. Cruz well maybe maybe not.
