“Now sell the ability to control the rover in real-time”
There is a 1.25 second delay for transmissions to reach the moon (and for transmissions from the moon to reach the earth), so it could never be quite “real-time”. You would enter a command, the rover would respond 1.25 seconds later, and then you would see the result 2.5 seconds later...
That’s closer to real time than NBC “like live” Olympic coverage.
