Hard to imagine that at one time England ruled one quarter of the world and had the largest empire the world has ever seen.

Good observation. England never really recovered after 1945, and the end of the Second World War. And that probably stemmed from the damage they received in the First world War.

We are poised to follow the same trajectory, I am sad to say.

“Hard to imagine that at one time England ruled one quarter of the world and had the largest empire the world has ever seen.”

And is the first first world nation to capitulate to Islam. The home of the Magna Carta. Unspeakably squalid and sad.
