Three years ago on Monday, a gunman opened fire in Sandy Hook Elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut, killing 20 first graders and six adults.
Marking the anniversary, Vice President Joe Biden tweeted: Since that nightmare, an estimated 555 children have been killed by guns in America. It is shameful that Congress hasn't acted.
As the nation debates gun laws and access to mental healthcare, Newtown parents remind us of the urgency.

As cold as it sounds your dead child does not allow you to dictate how i can defend my family.
No cold is that these people will spread their misery to other parents whose children will die in the free fire zones they create.
A single armed undercover teacher, administrator, janitor, etc. could have saved those children.
Failed left-wing gun prohibitionists made this school a “gun-free” zone and they own it.

Notice how they unashamedly mangle the language. People are *not* killed *by* guns. They are killed *with* guns.
It is a crucial differnce. *By* removes volition and action from a person to the gun. It removes responsibility from a person and places it on an inanimate object.
This is right out of Orwell’s 1984.

Most of these so-called children are teenage gang bangers killed by other gang bangers.
I lived in California in the 1980’s and 1990’s.
When a gang banger killed another gang banger, the LAPD called it an NHI crime.
NHI = No Human Involved.

Her beat included the office of then-Mayor Marc Morial.
She got in trouble when it turned out they were screwing. That’s why her reportage had been so favorable. Never a critical word.
She got a public tsk-tsk, but wasn’t fired. They got married.
Huh. He’s now head of the National Urban League, and she’s been promoted to CBS New York.
They’re both BFFs with the Obamas.
