Thank you for posting this. Very interesting and a fascinating first hand account of this committee meeting. Unbelievable nonattendance by the gOpee.
And Steyn's conclusion and analogy to the courage of Master Sgt. Roddie Edmonds and his men was truly masterful.

I’d feel pretty important, not in a way I’d care for, if not only the Canadian government had hounded me for my personal opinion, but the US Congress also considered my personal opinion important enough to hold hearings on them, and threatening enough to have senators talking about making people who shared my opinion, political prisoners.

This is why I pray every night that Cruz becomes POTUS. He will have the bully pulpit to expose the bastards in the GOP. His Justice Department can investigate the rampant corruption in both parties! This is why all of them are terrified and hate him so.

It’s just too bad this stuff doesn’t reach our idiotic voters in a manner that would allow them to “properly process” the information. What Steyn is saying is that mostly what we have in Washinton today is a big steaming pile of $hit for Congressmen and Senators. We would, indeed be better-served if we replaced every last one of them all at one time.
