Apparently a generation of "journalists" has been raised to believe that the matter of human-caused global warming is "settled science," and that anyone who doubts the agenda-driven, redistributionist "climate change" movement is an enemy of civilization. Additionally, these people clearly don't understand the orchestrated, false-drama nature of diplomatic gatherings such as the one in Paris which just concluded with yet another "breakthrough" but non-binding "agreement" to reduce carbon emissions.
Thus, it's disconcerting, but not at all hard to believe, that these ignorant, gullible children disguised as discerning adults wildly cheered the announcement of the aforementioned agreement as if an athlete on one of their favorite teams just delivered a last-second victory:
Meanwhile, in the real world, mountains of evidence exist that CO2 levels don’t affect global temperatures, while satellite data indicate that there has been no global warming for almost 19 years.
For those who believe I am overplaying the the sports-related analogy, here is Sooper Mexican's grab (HT Progressives Today) of a tweet (since deleted) from The Economist's Miranda Johnson:

It hasn’t been all that long ago that all the experts were
telling us that “another Ice Age” is waiting in the wings.
This is a religeon being forced upon me, others are making decisions and I have to fall in line and worship their “God” ...or else? Or else what? I DO NOT BELIEVE in their false God. So what is “else?”
They should be the first to shiver in the cold and dark with no internet, no electricity, no car, no food, and no place to go.
They’re doing what some big money behind the scenes had PAID them to do.
A generation of reporters has been raised with no idea what science is or how it works and are just vacuous airheads with pretensions to knowledge.

It was, in geological perspective, a blink of an eye. You might say it just happened and it is way too soon to say that they were wrong about the ice age.
Large evaporation towers on the deserts would do more to slow global warming than reducing CO2 and the jobs in the poorer countries would be a boost to those struggling to make a living in those stark places.
Pipe sea water in and fine mist spray thousands of feet into the air and mine the sea salt for the fat westerners who spend $8 on a coffee.
Giant solar panels and wind turbines to energize it all and it is the perfect solution to the worlds problems.
It could all be done for about $100 trillion dollars, give or take.
Meanwhile somewhere in Africa, another child dies because there is no clean water. Want to save the erf? Desalination plants run by solar and infrastructure to pipe clean water all over the place. That will create new economies, enable people to grow crops which can sequester carbon as well as feed people.
All these good intentions by the left do is just kill more people. This is something that can be done now. The technology is there and instead of giving some third world dictator money so we can continue looting the country’s resources maybe they should start thinking of actually doing something useful.
“Journalists” are the “fifth column”.
Has anyone actually found the text of said “agreement”?
HOORAY THE EARTH IS SAVED!!! Uh, but why will I still not be able to breath Beijing air in the future?
