I don’t think Trump is doing this for the money. He’s already a billionaire. I think it’s about the name going down in history.
Trump is going full Democrat today. It maybe me, but parroting Harry Reid and Bernie Sanders does not seem the right position to take in a GOP primary. Did Trump ask Bill DeBlasio if it was alright to borrow some of his left over campaign literature.

No other candidate can say they have adopted the words of the Hard Left either.
And this is what he needs to state over and over and over again. This is his most effective argument amongst all the many things he’s brought to the table. Trump owes nobody anything. The rest of the bunch (including Cruz), are all beholden to somebody. It’s inconvenient for the Cruz backers to admit this, but Cruz is in somebody’s pocket. They spin ridiculous arguments about the fact that Cruz is taking “good money’ or that’s it’s First Amendment rights, while neglecting the simple fact that Cruz owes favors. In a year when the electorate hates all politicians, they are all politicians with the exception of Trump and Carson. Trump needs to answer every question at the debate with “I am self funding, I am not taking anyone’s money, I am independent and cannot be bought”.
