A Southern California mosque was damaged by fire on Friday, and its leader said people there at the time believe it was intentionally set.
Flames were reported just after noon at the Islamic Center of Palm Springs, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. The fire was contained to the small building’s front lobby, and no one was injured. Its cause is under investigation.
People there described hearing a loud boom and seeing flames, said Reymundo Nour, the mosque’s acting imam, who was not on the site at the time. He said the mosque had been fire-bombed.
The FBI was assisting local law enforcement in determining the cause, agency spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said.
The mosque is about 75 miles from San Bernardino, where last week a couple who federal officials say were inspired by Islamist extremists killed 14 people.
Some Muslims in Southern California and beyond have worried about the potential for reprisals, while leaders of various faiths have called for tolerance.
The mosque was hit by gunfire in November 2014 in what authorities investigated as a possible hate crime. No one was injured in the early morning incident.

False flag? Near where I live, there were both a mosque fire and a moose-limb woman claiming harassment (muzzie go home comments) the day after the San Bernardino massacre. My liberal friend was decrying this terrible response by the community and I didn’t exactly make him feel better by telling him that both incidents were very likely BS and staged...... or at least why would anyone jump to conclusions and take the staged possibility off of the table given moose-limb history of staging? So far, not a single further word about either incident....I’m betting on staged for the Palm Springs mosque.

Supposedly started by German Communists, this was never conclusively proven, and strong evidence exists that it was started by the Nazis themselves.
This incident has similar characteristics.

Nothing says “I am VICTIM, Hear me ROAR” like a false flag rape, firebombing, hate graffiti, keyed car paint job or pipe bomb or perhaps a swastika of feces that the “VICTIM” decided would get them some “love” from a living culture that righteously rejects them as the real HATERS they are.
My vote? These people are self-perpetrating victims... like putting a child out to be shot in front so the attackers can blame those who resist as being ‘haters’.
