I’m wondering if Trump and Cruz should not hold joint press conference to put a stop to these free agents and press outlets trying to stir stuff up.
It’s starting to look painfully obvious that these blogs and news sites are trying to gin up a fight.
You obviously don’t understand the rules and don’t care to. The ignorance on this website is amazing.
"Both of them I like and respect," said Mr. Cruz, according to an audio recording of his comments provided by one attendee. "I don't believe either one of them is going to be our president."
But he added, "You look at Paris, you look at San Bernardino, it's given a seriousness to this race, that people are looking for: Who is prepared to be a commander in chief? Who understands the threats we face?"
He went on: "Who am I comfortable having their finger on the button? Now that's a question of strength, but it's also a question of judgment. And I think that is a question that is a challenging question for both of them."
Is there an inference? Yes. Does Cruz says either Carson or Trump lacks the judgement to be president? No.
If Cruz does *not* support this chicanery, he needs to get out in front of it and deny it, immediately.
Someone educate me.
Isn’t it premature to talk about a brokered convention, and what would happen at such a convention?
Shouldn’t we let the primary and caucus process play out, and see if a nominee emerges from the process, before we all get bent out of shape about a convention which goes beyond the 1st ballot????
What am I missing??? Don’t they already have rules and bylaws and such, about how to proceed, if nobody gets 50%+1 on the first ballot of the convention????
“You obviously donât understand the rules and donât care to. “
Well enlighten us of these “rules” and how it makes whatever scam the GOPEs hope to run more ok.
What are these people smoking? Total GOP suicide to even be talking about it.
I’ll bet the freeloading, low information DemocRAT voters are glad that they don’t have to choose who they want as their nominee. They don’t get a choice. They’re stuck with Slick Willie’s wife. Not having to decide saves the few remaining brain cells that they have left.
It’s interesting to glance through Trump threads from 2011.
You were pretty “anti-Trump” yourself then, saying he had a disgusting, sordid personal life, that he was fooling morons on FR, and that he would be a worse president than Obama.
Funny how things just do a 180.
In the absence of a required majority vote, there should be no problem with candidates uniting against the top vote-getter. That’s why a majority vote is chosen as the threshold in the first place. Happens all the time at nominating conventions.
Americans have become so used to not participating at the state and local levels that normal and essential processes can be called cheating with a straight face.
Cruz is a politician.
That’s all you need to know.
If Trump should crash of his own mistakes,
Cruz is my fall back.
But to my mind, the primo choice to turn things around and correct all the BS, is Trump.
If Trump gets the required number of delegates on the first convention vote, he will definitely be the candidate. If he doesn't get enough delegate votes, it will be a brokered convention. States are different in how they hold their delegates for a candidate. Some have a rule, after the first vote, if no candidate has the required number of votes, the delegates may change their vote. Some states keep their delegates true to the candidate on very vote and it varies between states.
How is saying, “I don’t see many evangelicals coming from Cuba” dissing evangelicals, Catholics or Cubans? This is really getting ridiculous.
What will be a truly sad day is if Trump has the most votes after the primaries but not a majority, and Cruz decides behind the scenes to give his support to someone other than Trump.
this was not Cruz....it was a paid hack. BIG BIG BIG DIFF.
It won’t happen on behalf of Cruz. It may not be cheating, but it is wrong anyway.
Yeah, LOT OF EM - including some of the more "important" posters - have done a full 180 since 2011. On the other hand, I stand by every word of my 2011 article about Trump - April 2011, American Thinker.
