The national party chairman has to consider and make plans for no candidate to get the required number of votes on the first ballot to be the candidate. With so many candidates at this point, it could happen none of them would get the required number. If Trump gets the required number on the first ballot, he is the candidate, period.

Right you are, in a fair world. But I see a way the GOPe can steal this thing.

Suppose Trump has a bare majority of the delegates (say, 51%). Then the GOPe changes the rules a bit to allow for "superdelegates", just like the Democrats do. All of a sudden Trump's 51% becomes, say, 48%.

The GOPe folks could then offer deals to the other candidates to get them to band together against Trump. In this unpleasant scenario, anyone could end up with the nomination, even Jeb.

The point is that Trump could win ALL of the primaries and still not have the delegates to win the nomination without GOPe controlled superdelegates support.

These sons of bitches have it set up this way for the very reason that THEY control who gets nominated, the voters are be damned.

Then why only have representatives from Bush and Rubio? Why not include everyone’s?

You’re right, if Trump gets a majority, as opposed to a plurality, there can be no argument, he is the nominee.

By convention time there won’t be 16 or 14 candidates left in the race. Two or 3 at most. Jeb won’t be one of them nor any of the others, now having less than 10% support.

On second thought, Jeb’s supporters may keep him in the race, even if he’s at 2% or 3% of the delegates, in the hopes of a brokered convention but like I said, there ain’t gonna be a brokered convention.

Furthermore, Rove and all the others are full of crap saying that Hillary will beat Trump. It won’t even be close, Trump will smash the lying, criminal bitch like a bug on a wind shield.

My problem with the meeting is that representatives of Jeb and Rubio’s campaigns attended.

Why would that be?
