I admit, I have NO IDEA what a brokered convention means.
Trump is a totally different animal with tens of millions of constituents. The pubs will fold like cheap suits.
Then you did not read the article.
This group of ‘power brokers’ from the GOPe had campaign reps from Bush and Rubio in on the discussions on how to broker a convention so Cruz or Trump is NOT the nominee. They are plotting. If it was to discuss how to handle a convention where there was no obvious candidate they would have had every campaign represented
No one is allowed to oppose Trump without it being “stealing” or a “plot”. Yawn. Go Cruz.
************************
Yawn?
Go Cruz/Trump or Trump/Cruz!
Opposing is fine. Stealing is not.
See, it is easy.
Yes, yawn, as in it’s tiresome to me.
“Cruz/Trump”
Trump doesn’t want to be the Vice President.
Cruz/Walker
If Trump gets the required number on the first ballot, he is the candidate, period.
*************************************************************
You’re right, if Trump gets a majority, as opposed to a plurality, there can be no argument, he is the nominee.
By convention time there won’t be 16 or 14 candidates left in the race. Two or 3 at most. Jeb won’t be one of them nor any of the others, now having less than 10% support.
On second thought, Jeb’s supporters may keep him in the race, even if he’s at 2% or 3% of the delegates, in the hopes of a brokered convention but like I said, there ain’t gonna be a brokered convention.
Furthermore, Rove and all the others are full of crap saying that Hillary will beat Trump. It won’t even be close, Trump will smash the lying, criminal bitch like a bug on a wind shield.
Take a nap.
I see no evidence of any “stealing”. Discussing delegate gathering strategies if no one wins a majority in the primaries is not “stealing” or “plotting”. I hope conservatives are making similar plans, though I doubt there will be a “brokered convention”.
Wake up.
I’m awake, are you?
What?
No “yawn”?
If nobody wins a majority then it isn’t stealing. If someone does, it is stealing.
Thought the poster meant at the convention, not at that meeting.
My problem with the meeting is that representatives of Jeb and Rubio’s campaigns attended.
Why would that be?
They didn’t have any trouble fighting conservatives in the last elections though.
Remember Mississippi?
They don’t fight democrats; just conservatives.
He would also have had to win eight states outright.
It used to be five but the GOP changed it to eight this election.
“They have virtually no popular support. What makes them think they can win an election?”
What makes you think they want to win an election? Do you think they have such low support because they really are too dumb to know how to appeal to the base? Never attribute to stupidity what can be easily explained by malice, treachery and corruption.
