There are no subsidies for ethanol. There is a mandate to use ‘renewable’ fuels. Ethanol is just the most convenient.
It doesn’t matter (from a debate perspective) whether there are currently subsidies. Trump chided Cruz for being against subsidies for ethanol. Is Trump in favor of them?
