GOP Congressman Rules Out Supporting Trump
Huffington Post ^ | December 11, 2015 | Arthur Delaney

Unlike many of the Republican Party's leaders and presidential candidates, Rep. Reid Ribble (R-Wis.) is willing to both bash Donald Trump and rule out supporting him if he becomes the party's nominee. "My first oath is to the Constitution of the United States. Donald Trump has taken positions contrary to that document, so I could not support him and uphold my oath," Ribble told "So That Happened," the HuffPost Politics podcast.

I hope this traitor loses his seat. Trump stating that Muslim immigrants should be stopped is clearly constitutional. Where was this clown when Obama was tearing apart the Constitution?

When ‘Reid Ribble’ (WTF kind of name is that?) can quote chapter and verse the part of the Constitution he alleges that Trump is violating, then we’ll talk.

Until then?

PRIMARY THE BASTARD!

This is a good opportunity to decide who needs to get primaried or voted out in the general. Your point is excellent. Are these same people on the record saying anything similar about Obama’s thrashing of the Constitution and his clear agenda to move as many terrorists as possible out of prison and back into Al queda leadership? Are they concerned at all about the complete circumvention of this dolt’s very own congressional body to send money to Iran to build a nuclear arsenal? Seriously. We need to just bait with idiots like this.

Congrats, Reid. Now you'll get your 15 minutes of fame in the national media as the brave Republican who is willing to say really, really nasty things about Donald Trump. The media is playing you for a chump and will throw you away faster than Cindy Sheehan the minute Obama was elected, but you can serve a purpose by serving up as much bile about Trump as you can. You want to keep it going longer? Quit the Republican Party over the fact that he's even running.

Rep Rubble had better produce evidence he has opposed the current travesty in the White House if he doesnt want to be laughed at.

I guess this moron does not know the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952...which has been established law passed by a Democratic POTUS (Truman) and Democratic Congress and its been law for 63 years. If our legislators , most of whom are lawyers don’t know this law then they should not be in Congress.

these Republicans who say Trump’s pronouncements are in violation to the US Constitution need to go back and study it. Trump stands on firm ground in that regard. My problem with Trump is this constant taking down other Republicans. They way he shoots from the hip bothers me. He has the makings of a good, maybe great leader, but he must clean up his act.

My first oath is to the Constitution of the United States.

Let's put Mr. Ribble's previous opinions under the magnifying glass to see if he's got a log in his own eye. Oh, hey, look! Ribble is apparently a member of "Problem Solvers" (a bipartisan group of House and Senate members committed to across-the-aisle meetings').

Well, isn't THAT special. He's not just another of the Wisconsin Coalition of GOP Progressives (you know them- Prince Rebus, Paul "If He's Talkin' He's Lyin'" Ryan, etc) but one that already earned his rollover merit badge with the jellyfish cluster.

"Where was this clown when Obama was tearing apart the Constitution?"

I agree. Regarding federal domestic policy, if an issue does not concern the US Mail Service (1.8.7) the patriots can bet that the feds have no constitutional authority to deal with the issue and be right most of the time.

He can however support Obama, who regularly uses the Constitution for toilet paper.

The GOPe are all disgusting hypocrites. They played the pledge card on Trump and now they back out of the deal. It’s time for them to leave the party. It is being reformed and they no longer belong. They need to go commiserate with the Democrats who share their ideology.
