IMO we had everyone covered that should have been or wanted to be covered at some level. There is always going to be a certain percentage of any population that wants someone else to pay their bills or thinks that medical insurance should cover everything. Obamacare supports continued irresponsibility for those that are irresponsible.
Who’s the “we” you are referring to? Are you saying this “we” should cover every one and since “we” did not, we have Obamacare? If so the you are saying that Obamacare happens because “we” didn’t cover everyone.

You’re delusional if you don’t think that everyone had their medical needs met pre-Obamacare! A lot of people went to the emergency room, and then stiffed the hospital for the costs, but they received care. Now with Obamacare, the one’s being stiffed are all of us who work for a living through the exhorbitant premiums Obamacare brought with it. But hey, as a 75 year-old male, I can get an abortion, so life is good right?

We don’t pay everyone’s food bill either, and that is more critical than health insurance.
We don’t have everyone covered for their clothing, housing, furnishings, education, or entertainment either.
By your logic, if we don’t have socialism, we will just have to get socialism.
Of course, we will need a oppressive government to enact that, because you will need to constantly take the earnings of those who create wealth to pay for all that - you can’t steal enough up front to foot such bills. Without the incentive of benefiting from the fruits of their efforts, people will just have to be compelled to meet production requirements. Socialist paradise.
