Lacks verified point to point transmission. A big part of the legal standing of fax is that either side can prove exactly when the document was transmitted and that it was successfully received.
You think the phone companies don’t keep track of time? THAT is their PRODUCT..............................
They might, but then you have to get those records from them, and of course they don’t have a copy of the document, and they can only say the phone call happened and for how long not whether or not the document successfully sent. With fax YOU (and the other side) have the records AND the document AND the proof transmission was successful. That is OUR PRODUCT.
