Thursday night, Attorney General Loretta Lynch reassured millions of concerned Americans who were afraid and looking for comfort after 14 people were killed by Islamic terrorists in San Bernardino, California. Her Justice Department, she said, was not going to stand idly by.
Unfortunately, she wasn't talking about the terrorism itself and she wasn't comforting Americans who fear another attack.
No, Lynch was talking about the real problem, i.e., a "very disturbing rise in anti-Muslim rhetoric."
"My message to not just the Muslim community but to the entire American community is: we cannot give in to the fear that these backlashes are really based on," Lynch said at a dinner sponsored by the Muslim Advocates. "When we talk about the First Amendment we must make it clear that actions predicated on violent talk are not American. They are not who we are, they are not what we do, and they will be prosecuted."
Uh-huh.
So, 14 people were killed by...Muslim terrorists. And a couple of weeks ago, more than 100 people in Paris were killed by...Muslim terrorists. And a week or so before that, a Russian plane was brought down by...Muslim terrorists.
But the problem - the thing that inspires Lynch's "greatest fear as a prosecutor" - is that these attacks have inspired anti-Muslim rhetoric.
It would have been hard to imagine an AG even more out to lunch than Eric Holder, but damn, leave it to President Obama to find someone worse.

Well, yeah. Does anyone dispute that? Of course there's fear. This isn't like "homophobia," though. Americans aren't hating on Muslims because we don't like the way they dress or the way they refuse to enjoy bacon. This isn't a backlash based on irrational prejudices or a fear of the unknown. Americans are growing increasingly irritated with Muslims because...
...because...

Jesus Christ, what is with this administration? Liberalism is one thing, but this is something entirely different. This isn't just nonsense; this is dangerous. This country - our very way of life - is under attack, and these idiots want to prosecute people who speak out against Islam? No, you know what, "idiots" isn't even the right word, because there's no one stupid enough to think this way. You can only take this point of view if you have a determined motive.
As Donald Trump said about Obama: "There's something going on with him that we don't know about."
Now, the upper crust, "moderate" Republicans don't want to address that. Oh no, that's just extremist talk. Of course Mr. Obama is a Christian. Let's not go down that road.
Sorry, but it's time. Obama isn't dumb. Loretta Lynch isn't dumb. These people are not "mistaken." And if their response after a tragedy like this is to warn America about anti-Muslim rhetoric, then we must look for an explanation. And nothing from the usual "mainstream" bag of tricks will suffice. This president is failing in his fundamental duty, which is to protect the United States from threats foreign and domestic.
Obama's time is up in 13 months. But the way things are going, we might not be able to wait that long. It seems foolish to pursue impeachment against a lame-duck president, but every day that he remains in the Oval Office, our country - and the Western world at large - gets a little less safe. Impeachment proceedings would send a message to Hillary Clinton and others that the American people are not going to stand by and watch innocent people die for the sake of...well...whatever it might be that "we don't know about."
To describe them as "idiots" isn't even the right word, because there's no one stupid enough to think this way. You can only take this point of view if you have a determined motive.

This cretin is the absolute WORST thing that could happen to our nation. We've had some skunks for presidents, but this malodorous piece of human debris takes all honors. He is our enemy!

Seems she has backed off from the comment. Nonetheless, she spoke her mind & intentions honestly.
I emailed my representative that he should start impeachment or remove Zero from office using the 25th amendment. He sent a generic answer thanking me for my input and of course, did not mention my demand. We have no leaders.
