My folks were teachers (one a college Prof) who were HATED because they voted for Nixon over McGovern.
It’s only gotten worse in the last four decades.
What if Ben Shapiro had said something disparaging about Apple or Muslims at the same time?

Yes, not everybody is good with money. Some people were just meant to be poor. Which generally means they cannot afford to own Apple products - unless they are gifted with one.
I'm thinking of getting an iPod Touch (32GB) for my wayward nephew who never has any money but likes music.
