It almost seems as though many governments refuse to take real action to defeat/halt terrorism within their borders because they'd much rather use it (terrorism) as an excuse to gut the rights of citizens & subjects.

Instead of policing EVERYONE'S activity on the net, why not kick out and not let the suspects in the country?

If Google rids the world of hate speech won't people create a new vocabulary to express their intent?

"Bake some cookies" could in reality become a rallying cry to kill Muslims.

If Google is going to attempt to violate the letter and spirit of the law embodied in the 1st Amendment right to free speech, then Google should be the first party to forfeit its protection. Perhaps Google should be seized by the Federal Government for its violations of the Constitution and anti-trust violations restricting monopolies and cartels and/or eminent domain, breakup the organization, and sell its assets on the open market to companies who must compete for contracts to provide the former essential services.

Most people won't care as long as they can lookup sports stats and sports news.

Schmidt and his like are brainless totalitarians. They are attempting to dumb down the population and shut down civil discourse. Here are the results. Shills who can’t listen and reason.

Histerical brats who won’t be able to function in the real world.

....”Is there no room anymore for a child or young person to be a little bit obnoxious… a little bit inappropriate or provocative or, yes, offensive?” Christakis wrote. “American universities were once a safe space not only for maturation but also for a certain regressive, or even transgressive, experience; increasingly, it seems, they have become places of censure and prohibition.”...

Have fun attempting to employ these future unemployable useful idiots Schmidt!

I got along just fine without Google for years and will be happy to do so again.

As usual, they confuse cause and effect.

ISIS isn’t a threat because of their messaging- they could try to recruit all year in a Lutheran seminary and they would get no takers- ISIS is a threat because there is nothing competing with their message. All “opposition” is weak and disorganized and politically correct... in effect, no opposition at all. The world is a vacuum without a masculine, purposeful United States and the radicals will simply fill it.

Goes again to the mind of the liberal- they only think of how to restrict or destroy, never how to uplift and free.

...they can also start with The Nation of Islam and Louis (We must rise up and kill Whitey).......Ms. Lynch, where are you when you are needed...????

Post #1: With Google's latest announcement, we'll be all the better having them tell us what we can read and say...

Now that is tyranny. Pure tyranny!
