Most likely timed out on cycles, would probably blow up next time they’re pressurized.

They’re free. You just pay for the gas to fly it home.

Yeah.
That, and the $10,000 daily storage fee....

Imagine what one could do with a 747-200 fuselage?

Be a right proper shanty boat by UAE standards....

Been there. As an arriving passenger the airport is gorgeous, with statues and a two story Starbucks. Signs everywhere telling you where to go for what.

Departing ? Not so much. Had to ask for directions three or four times as I prepared to leave for Mumbai.

“Do they take Visa?........................”

I hope so.

You can accumulate a lot of points buying a couple of 747s.

Probably enough to buy a little run-around Learjet.

.

When a 747 breaks down you can't just call AAA.

It stays where it is until it's in flyable condition.

Happens all the time - when the repair bill exceeds the value of the vehicle, it gets abandoned. Difference is you can't tow a superjumbo off to the impound...

Good Lord. . .registration number and serial numbers on the engines will tell them everything they need to know.

I wonder if ISIS/Al Qaida know anything about this?

...

Those planes have a long range when they are carrying nothing but fuel.

It wasn't until I bought my first 747 that I realized just how many other folks owned 747s. Kinda took away the thrill.

I hear ya. I finally started tying a green ribbon to the antenna to help me find mine in the parking lot.

it’s climate change.

the climate change has disrupted the flow of rubber from the leaking rubber trees and the planes that usually fly the virgin latex to the Ivory Coast Dunlop factory are backing up on the runways

The repercussions of the catastrophic climate are everywhere

That would take some doing as there are numerous locations where data are engraved/imprinted.

I was just heading there with my VISA to fill-er up and take for a test drive. . .

Hey...when I wanted to foreclose on a rotary-winged aircraft, we enhanced the take home pay of the fellow at the parts depot..... six months later...BINGO.

One phone call and a delay on shipping from the depot and I had my collateral. Just like that.
