Not the way you described it. It was very common sense saying that leaders in social media etc need to be approached for creative ways to shut down Jihadi use of the internet to communicate and recruit.

Despite being slightly in favor of Cruz over Trump, I have concerns about Cruz's ability to manufacture an Electoral victory over Hillary. OTOH, I believe Trump would cause an Electoral nightmare for the DEMs.
At this point, I just want Trump and Cruz to maintain 50+% of the poll interest combined through the main part of the primaries. DO NOT allow any GOPe candidate to gain traction. Tossing Trump aside now would do just that.

Back in the cold war this type of activity was common place. Of course there was no internet, but bugging every suspicious telephone line was definitely done.
