Man...looks like a floating cardboard box.

From what I gather recent ship designs have used for upper hull and superstructure material, maybe you are not too far off.

Should you be able to ‘count the ribs’ on a new ship. I know the hull plates on the USS Texas are showing wear and tear, but it’s 100 years old and has been through a couple of World Wars.
