The U.S. Navyâs new stealth warship DDG 1000 headed down the Kennebec River and out to sea for the time Monday for a series of sea trials.

Armed with a single MA-2 .50 caliber Browning, this much feared naval vessel carries up to 30 rounds of aluminum piercing ammunition. It is the first in an entirely new naval architecture class -- technically, âclitoralâ (not to be confused with âlittoralâ) -- being pushed on the Pentagon by the defense minded wussies in the Obama Administration as a cost-saving measure. If you look closely, you can see the heavy-duty seat restraint which prevents the pilot/gunner â Kamakazi Kowalski â from leaping from the vessel prior to engaging the enemy. The 12 V trolling motor â which lacks a reverse function -- propels this sophisticated craft forward at a top speed of 4 knots. Reverse travel â at approximately 35 knots -- is achieved by firing the Browning.
The no-bid contract to build 200 of these fearsome warships was to have been awarded to Obama-Soros-Emanuel Shipbuilding and Stormdoor Manufacturing (formerly General Dynamics) and will be administered by trusted Obama associate and former Chief-of-Staff Rahm Emanuel who commented that, at $12 million each, they are a bargain. They will be constructed exclusively at the companyâs facility in Kenya with major subcomponent production (rivets and miscellaneous fasteners) at the companyâs Harlem and Skokie plants. Delivery is expected to begin in 2024 (or as soon as the subcontractorsâ funds are safely in the contractor's Swiss account).
bow submarining? >>>
its a submarine bow that’s what it’s supposed to do. i don’t like it (check out soling https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soling)
But, I’m curious .. does the “stealth” have anything to do with the PLAIN paint job ..??
So, if that’s true, then painting rectangular markings on it might render it NON-stealth ..??
Inquiring minds want to know ..????????
Between diving under a wave and the hull plates aren’t offset for strength, it looks weak and will probably crack.
Where are the guns???
God bless her, she’s got a face only a mother could love.
It's a stealth destroyer. How can you be sure it was a no show?
I wouldn’t want to be on it.
Lets hope it’s self righting if turned over like some of those one person sport kayaks.
How bout:
Hello dere.
I have to believe this is the best engineered ship ever built. I cannot imagine that the simulations and prototypes have been twisted, tossed, and turned.
I am sure I would sink it if I were at the helm. But, I guess they have better captains than I.
Instability Questions About Zumwalt Destroyer Are Nothing New, Defense News, Dec. 3, 2015
"We've done all the modeling and testing to convince us that this is a great hull form." -- Allison Stiller, the deputy assistant secretary of the Navy for ship programs.
Navy officials and engineers insist the design is safe, and point to extensive testing using computers and a variety of scaled-down models that have sailed test tanks and coastal areas such as the Chesapeake Bay.
The Navy has built scale models to test the DDG 1000 design, including a 150-foot quarter-scale steel hull that was "extraordinarily stable," said one industry source.
Well, the cameras were in color, it was their output that wasn’t...
Big seaworthiness concerns about this vessel.
Very good study with pictures showing comparative pitch and roll video clips in wave tank and sea trials.
