Sacramento Bee ^ | December 7, 2015 | David Siders

One of the goals of Californians who traveled to Paris for climate talks this week was to showcase green-energy businesses that are succeeding in the state.

But on Monday it was the “coercive power” of government for which Gov. Jerry Brown was seeking credit.

Dead Kennedys - California Uber Alles

I am Governor Jerry Brown
My aura smiles and never frowns
Soon I will be President

Carter power will soon go away
I will be fuhrer one day
I will command all of you
Your kids will meditate in school
Your kids will meditate in school

California Uber Alles
California Uber Alles
Uber Alles California
Uber Alles California

Zen fascists will control you 100% natural
You will jog for the master race
And always wear the happy face
Close your eyes, can’t happen here

Big Bro’ on the white horse is near
The hippies won’t come back, you say
Mellow out or you will pay
Mellow out or you will pay

California Uber Alles
California Uber Alles
Uber Alles California
Uber Alles California

Now it is 1984
Knock, knock at your front door
It’s the suede-denim secret police
They have come for your uncool niece

Come quietly to the camp
You’d look nice as a drawstring lamp
Don’t you worry, it’s only a shower
For your clothes, here’s a pretty flower

Die on organic poison gas
Serpent’s egg’s already hatched
You will croak, you little clown
When you mess with President Brown
When you mess with President Brown

California Uber Alles
California Uber Alles
Uber Alles California
Uber Alles California

Never underestimate the coercive power of the central state

Not to worry, Jerry. The American people understand that very well.

Gee, Jerry Geezer pops up on the radar.

Wait a minute...something happened in California recently...involved immigrants...let me think now.

Oh yeah. The biggest case of domestic terrorism since 9/11, and Moonbeam was....invisible.

Now he reappears, making threats about...the weather?

Hey Jerry...

- The weather’s great. Tons of new snow at Squaw (a foot on Saturday night!). Everyone skiing, even at High Camp!

- Fourteen citizens were brutally murdered by the people YOU TELL US DESERVE TO LIVE HERE, AND WHOM YOU IGNORED.

Whatcha gonna do ‘bout that, Mad Jerry Geezer?

He is right about this. But he spelled it wrong.

Never underestimate the corrosive power of central state.

Actually, I was just thinking that Reagan might have said the same thing. And like almost every thing he said, he'd have been right. The only differece is that if he'd have said it, he'd have meant it was a bad thing.

It would be nice to see a state revolution in the mold of the current federal one regards elections.

I guess this means we have been mistaken for all these years. Gordon Moore has been receiving way too much credit for his namesake law. From now on, the rapid but predictable progress in the performance and affordability of our digital widgets will be tracked far into the future by Jerry’s Law.
