Only if you’re a member of a “protected class”, which leaves most of us out...

We can, and do, vote every day in the choices we make in the market place. If the add offends you, don't buy their stuff.

I don’t know how to post links when on my phone, but the best ever Coke commercial is the Argentinian Coke Life commercial from 2013. I warms my heart (song in the background has the lyrics “you don’t know what it’s like...).

I have always wondered why they take a bunch of high school and college aged kids from the suburbs and have them dig toilets and paint houses in the 3rd world. Its probably a good experience for the kids but does seem a bit paternalistic. The kids from our parish go into the inner city and do the same sort of thing. Not saying its bad but just curious. I do know of nurses, doctors, even vets going on mission trips and that seems very helpful. As a retired lawyer I would have nothing to offer.

I’d give Mexico Coke a break, given they at least know how to put real sugar in their product.

I argue all the time with mission planners at church and our private school that there are hundreds, if not thousands, within a day or two drive from here that need help and the Word why are we sending people overseas and to Mehico? My money stays home.

It does seem like it would be more productive over the long term to hire the inner-city people to do the work, and pay some retired military drill sergeants to supervise them doing it right.

Sounds good in theory the theory begins with a false assumption, work being the operative word.

Coca-Cola used to run ads with polar bears drinking their product. I found that offensive. My grandfather was eaten by a polar bear. To make matters worse, it was a WHITE polar bear . . . and I'm just about all out of liberal nonsense BS.
