California Attack Has U.S. Rethinking Strategy on Homegrown Terror

**SNIP**

Alberto M. Fernandez, who until earlier this year led the State Department unit that counters militant propaganda, said, "The administration seems to be really flailing and tone deaf to this latest challenge." He called the San Bernardino attack "D.I.Y. jihad," and said it "forces the administration to look at where it does not want to go and is weakest, at jihadist ideology and its dissemination."

Others, however, cautioned against overreaction, warning that the focus on Muslims could lead to the kind of anger and alienation that creates more potential for terrorist recruitment. Some experts urged officials to keep the danger posed by terrorism in perspective.

The death toll from jihadist terrorism on American soil since the Sept. 11 attacks - 45 people - is about the same as the 48 killed in terrorist attacks motivated by white supremacist and other right-wing extremist ideologies, according to New America, a research organization in Washington.

FTA: Ever since last week's Colorado shooting in an abortion clinic, an argument has emerged over who exactly commits the most terror in America, with one narrative claiming it is mostly committed by conservative, militia types.

So I decided to look through every act of terror in the United States since 9/11/01 and compile a list of attacks by motive. Turns out the vast majority of terror attacks are committed by environmentalist and animal rights terrorists, according to the government. They commit the most in terms of number of attacks and property damage inflicted, by far, burning and bombing countless homes and buildings.

As far as deaths and injuries inflicted, radical Islamic terror inflicts ten times more casualties than any other terror motive.

This is official government data. The Department of Homeland Security compiles statistics on terror incidents worldwide via the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism's Global Terrorism Database, which is available to the public. It lists all acts which conform to the following definition of terrorism:

"The use of illegal force and violence by a non-state actor to attain a political, economic, religious, or social goal through fear, coercion, or intimidation."

NOTE: The "Unknown" category is attacks in which, for example, bombs were sent to multiple businesses in the same industry, which were judged to be terror but with unclear motives. The "Other" category are a handful of lone attacks for random motives. Anti-border patrol, anti-Russia, pro-Cuba, even pro-marijuana, for example.

Note 2: The author of the meme, by his own admission, mistakenly wrote "Islam" instead of "Islamist".

Note 3: My opinion is that a) this falsifies the left's bogus claims that most terrorism is by white Christians, but b) that each individual deserves to be judged solely by what he does, and not by what others do who happen to be of the same race, religion, sexual orientation or economic class.

It’s just bitter jihadists clinging to their guns and religion.

How about we just admit that allowing all these Muslims into the country was a bad decision? And then take steps to correct the mistake?

Nah, that will never happen (with this crowd anyway).

Obama is going to grab guns tonight, not fight terrorism. He also is going to defend Muslims.

Next, we have the false argument that white Christians or any other group kill just as many. That is no reason to import Islamic terrorism.

Further, no other group has 1.6 billion members and is causing worldwide strife with the threat of world domination.

According to the chart the muzzies are catching up to the blacks in this country. We know who is causing our problems and we need to address them. If they were Norwegians and the Lithuanians they would have been loaded on planes and boats and gone already. "Conform or be cast out"

The death toll from jihadist terrorism on American soil since the Sept. 11 attacks - 45 people - is about the same...

As someone on an earlier said mentioned, this is like saying Nazis didn't kill any Jews since 1946.

So Americans are just supposed to sit back and let jihadists slaughter us in the hope that one day they will either get tired of it or else experience a sudden epiphany about the greatness of American faith and ideals?

Bingo

This “speech” will be nothing more than a call to ban guns and to be nice to muzzies, but primarily the first. This guy has 412 days left and he is going to make the US a hell hole no matter what. I hope he rots in hell.

I'm going to state the obvious.

US citizens should not have to fear offending Muslims. If they can't adapt to freedom of speech, GET OUT OF THE US.

Muslims in the US (as is true of many pampered groups) aren't assimilating. What can be done to improve assimilation? For starters, don't let any more Muslims into the US. New members of the community make them turn to those me-first values instead of a situation where they become part of a common culture and value system.

Same with the "Black Lives Matter" situation. Of course it's led to more murders in challenged communities. It's causing a barrier from people moving on to improving their lives.

Step one would be to treat all the mosque members of attack groups like Waco Bikers!

Amen to that. The term "Home Grown Terrorism," infuriates me as Americans are not executing acts of terror on behalf of any American mootive or goal. These acts of terror are devised, inspired and executed by Islamist invaders and subversives. Even a White, Christian American who succumbs to Islamist subversio;n and executes an act of terror can not be called a Home Grown Terrorist. He has been co-opted by Islam and has ceased to act as an American.

Islam is a totalitarian war ideology and should be no more tolerated in the USA than the nazis were during WWII.

See, the more Muslims you have, the more terrorists you have. But you can’t alienate the ones who aren’t terrorists, because then some would become terrorists,so you have to pretend that Islam is not the problem, and increase immigration so there will be more Muslims, so that Muslims will be contented.

Problem is, they never are.

This is the same argument as "homophobia causes AIDS (by driving risky behavior underground)", recast in different words.

Code word for “Going after political enemies”.

They don’t care about islamic terror. They do care about their domestic opponents.

“Homegrown”

Language really matters. When did this government ever state something in simple straightforward English without some sort of deflective twist.

Islamic terrorism is not homegrown.

For years, small towns in America have actively trolled pedophiles on the Internet, convincing them to travel across the US in hope of having sex with a child. The end result of this is a small town P.D. with a bunch of serious felony busts, with looks real good to the folks back home.

So why not use a similar technique with murderous jihadis?

All you need is a cabin in the woods far away from town, at the end of a difficult to navigate road, to discourage accidental tourists, with clear fields of fire and good cover for cops with deer rifles.

Then go on the Internet and troll the jihadis to come attack that cabin, because there is a secret meeting being held there between Salman Rushdie, Benjamin Netanyahu, Hirsh Ali, etc.

The last thing it would be nice to have but is not essential, is a wide and deep abandoned vertical mine shaft, if you’re indifferent to the “glory” of arresting murderous jihadis. And if you’ve got some wild pig carcasses around, you might toss them in the mine shaft as well.

“It’s just bitter jihadists clinging to their guns and religion.”

That is a take that I’ve heard on it. That they’re just not willing to face living in the modern world, only a few bitter clingers.
