President Barack Obama says that the US "will not be terrorized," after ISIS congratulated Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik for killing 14 people in California this past week.
Malik swore allegiance to ISIS on her Facebook account and the FBI says that it is treating the incident as an act of terror. "It is entirely possible that these two attackers were radicalized to commit this act of terror," acknowledged President Obama.
During his weekly address to the public, Obama said, "We are Americans. We will uphold our values -- a free and open society. We are strong. And we are resilient. And we will not be terrorized."
Twenty-eight-year-old Farook and his 29-year-old wife killed 14 and wounded another 21 before being themselves killed by police. ISIS has not taken explicit credit for the attack, though it calls the pair "soldiers" who were "killed in the path of Allah."

I’m thinking the inside dims went to the WH with terrible polling data and told him to say the word terrorism. Either way, he doesn’t believe it. Guns in the hands of Tea Party members still remain the primary problem.

On one hand, consider that the corrupt feds want to bypass 4th Amendment privacy protections because it evidently takes too long to get a court search warrant to investigate suspected terrorist activity.
But at the other end of the spectrum, when a possible terrorist strike has already taken place, Obama is slow to admit the possibility.
The persistence of cognitive dissonance. Like a bell with a crack, the sound does not ring true, but has all kinds of conflicting undertones. Terrorism is just what the raging horde of bearded men with burning eyes DO, it has become ingrained in their DNA. They can no more straighten out and become sane responsible citizens than a snake may rise up on its hind feet and walk like a man. Those savage beasts simply do not have the necessary equipment to become civilized beings, and comparing them to scorpions is a slander on scorpions everywhere.
It has been said elsewhere, but repetition makes it no less true - either we win, or they win. There is no compromise with unmitigated evil, no way to make it a “lesser” evil.
The cost to them of maintaining their twisted belief system has to be made so extraordinarily high, that they cannot continue to pay the price. If that means annihilation, then so be it. This is an existential threat facing us, and this is no time to go wobbly, George.
