A federal judge has banished the Baby Jesus and the Three Wise Men from an Indiana high school's Christmas musical.

U.S. District Court Judge Jon DeGuilio, appointed to the bench by President Obama, issued an injunction against Concord Community Schools on Dec. 2.

The court order forbids students from presenting a live Nativity scene during the Concord High School's Christmas Spectacular. The judge said that portion of the show is overtly religious in nature.

"The living nativity scene impermissibly conveys an endorsement of religion and thus runs afoul of the Establishment Clause," the judge wrote in his ruling.

“The First Amendment to the United States Constitution prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion”

Before someone is made a judge, they should be required to at least understand the most basic parts of the Constitution.

...appointed to the bench by President Obama...

Explains everything. If there was a suicide bomber screaming "allahu Akbar" that would be perfectly acceptable.

How is this worse than forcing the teachings of Islam on our kids in school?! Where is the separation of church and state there?!

It’s long past time for open, in-your-face FY defiance. What’s wrong with people?

This Obama fool has never read the Constitution.

Parents should go ahead with the plans. This is still our country.

It conveys a PORTRAYAL of religion not an ENDORSEMENT...

Does he also ban any Ramadama-ding-dong activites too with this ruling?

NOTE: THIS ALSO BY EXTENSION AND PRECEDENT BANS TEACHING ISLAMIC STUDIES NOW (and it’s ‘settled law’)

At least the Republicans are in charge, they can remove him from office for being unfit. If Nancy Pelosi allows them.

That’s the problem! The school system is going to meekly comply rather than challenging it at a higher appellate and even SCOTUS level, probably due to expense (as the atheists well know and count on). And it’s happening everywhere.

BS. In no way -- outside of the fever swamp of the deluded, liberal mind -- is this congress establishing a religion.

I wonder what EXCUSE this judge will try to use when he stands BEFORE JESUS CHRIST at judgement day?

Do it. Let ‘em try to toss you in jail for having a nativity scene, then let a jury find you not guilty. This stuff must stop now.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the "other" articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
