I’m going to guess this is just another ignorant journalist assuming they were full auto because they were AR-15s when in fact they were semi-auto.
Full auto would indicate, it would seem fair to surmise, that they had some help.

I was listening to the police scanner when the gunfight was in progress. The ARs in question were not fully automatic. They were semi-automatic.
I heard: "Pop" .... "Pop" .... "Pop"
I did not hear: "Popopopopopopopopopop!"
Wait, what? Were they? Admittedly, I worked most of last night and haven't been able to follow the story since the chase but, yesterday an early report I saw somewhere said that they had AK-74s. Big difference to those who know and Im always suspicious when a story morphs.
Have we seen reliable reporting of AR-15s?

I saw on another thread that the AR 15s were a Smith and Wesson and DPMS Panther, so those are semi-auto.
The male ROPer made about 50K a year and a full auto would have set him back most of his salary for 2015.
But I read yesterday these two were shooting accurately from their moving vehicle, as if they had training.
Of course the MSM also told us the guns were AKs, and a lot of other bad info, so who knows.
It looks like Barry and Co. have finally decided to spin this as just another workplace tragedy, a sad part of this rich tapestry we call life, troubled yutes, stupid cops, and if we could just get rid of all guns, except the ones needed to protect him and his family of course, we could all live happily ever after with Skittles s***ing unicorns in every American’s garage.

Heard other reports it was a baby shower for the perp's new kid from his new wife.
Either way, he was there, left, and returned to kill.
Never mind. More reports say they had recently thrown a shower for them, not that this was the shower.
When I read his coworkers recently had a baby shower for the terrorist couple, I wondered how long before the spin starts, "angered by lousy gifts given by cheapskate co-workers, offended couple seeks revenge".
