The stuff Baker says in the memo makes a lot of sense actually. He concludes it saying Trump could win, which seems a lot further than all the GOP elites seem to be saying to the NY Slimes. He even mentions in there that Trump is appealing to disaffected Democrats. Frankly, he sounds like he might be a closet Trump supporter. This guy doesn't seem like an establishment hack. On his Twitter he's also tweeted stuff supporting the NRA and pro-life movement.

He wrote this. Even using language like the "Washington Ruling Class" makes him sound like a blood-brother of Cruz and Trump:

"Trump has been gaining Democrat adherents and he's solidifying GOP cohorts who feel they've been totally ignored by the Washington Ruling Class," Baker writes. "If the environment aligns properly, Trump could win. It's not a bet most would place now, but it could happen."
