The attacks on Donald Trump by the establishment are not forthcoming. Do not expect them to happen. Expect instead that Marco Rubio starts going up in the polls. It has come to this -- the establishment of the Republican Party has decided that Ted Cruz must be stopped. The way to stop Cruz is to not touch Trump and start helping Rubio.
This goes back to the story the other day about Karl Rove helping Ben Carson. The Establishment has decided it wants to keep Trump and Carson in the race for as long as possible. They are now calculating that Bush, Christie, Kasich, Fiorina, etc. can get out and that will give Rubio enough momentum to beat Cruz + Trump + Carson.
The thinking is that as long as Trump is there, Cruz cannot grow further. If Trump gets damaged, his support would go to Cruz. At least that is the thinking.
The Texan portrayed himself as a third way between the stalwart, non-interventionist views of Senator Rand Paul and pro-interventionist policies in pursuit of spreading democracy and human rights through the Middle East that Rubio espouses. Cruz's belief is that trying to democratize those societies can be counterproductive and that U.S. military power should be focused narrowly on protecting U.S. interests.
"If you look at President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton and for that matter some of the more aggressive Washington neo-cons, they have consistently mis-perceived the threat of radical Islamic terrorism and have advocated military adventurism that has had the effect of benefiting radical Islamic terrorists," he said. So now the fates of Donald Trump and Marco Rubio are intertwined. The Establishment will treat Trump with kid gloves in hopes of boosting Marco Rubio.

PING
Interesting but illogical!
Oh geesh. Is this the dumb bunny Eric Erickson?
That is FLAWED thinking.
Gope, RINO, Rove, WSJ, Uniparty Bastards.
“Gope, RINO, Rove, WSJ, Uniparty Bastards.”
You are INDEED too kind.
I have noticed a focused campaign to assist Rubio on several of the conservative sights. I guess they think that by glossing over Rubio’s support for amnesty and bringing in refugees, they can make him more palatable.
I’ve lost track of all of the goofy Trump conspiracy theories.
First his is a stalking horse for Hillary.
Then he is just here to “help his brand”
Then he is a paid operative of Soros.
Then he is here to split conservative votes.
Then his supporters at his rallies are just astroturf, bused in by unions.
Now the GOPe is really backing him ....to stop Cruz. Because after spending millions, and tanking candidates like Bush, they are actually really afraid of Cruz.
Tomorrow Trump will be officially part of the Illuminati.
In the meantime, Trump is holding rallies and speeches with thousands of people 2-3 times a week, all over America, in on talk shows, is on phone interviews, is holding meetings with 100 Black Pastors, has good solid endorsements, but yet here is the GOPe, the RINO base, the government controlled media and talking heads, all wringing their hands, stomping up and down the hallways like the little ‘snowflakes’ are doing, pulling their hair out...and Trump just keeps on going...and there isn't one thing that can stop him....
I just love it when a plan comes together....
GO.TRUMP.GO!!!
Yep.
:)
“aggressive Washington neo-cons”
Have any of our neo-con FR friends accused Cruz of being anti-Semitic yet?
They are throwing the kitchen sink at Trump!
I don’t believe I have ever heard of Cruz being anti-Semitic.
Curious
If it comes from the Trump hating Eric Erickson is most definitely not true.
it is most
My question too.
Erick Ericson is someone I don’t want to waste time on.
Truth is truth, no matter the source, but there are a lot of other places to go to know that the reader is getting the real, unslanted truth.
