Cruz: 'Overwhelming majority of violent criminals are Democrats'
Politico ^ | 11/30/15 | Eliza Collins

Ted Cruz on Monday equated Democrats with violent crime.

In an interview with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt on Monday, the Texas senator said that "the simple and undeniable fact is the overwhelming majority of violent criminals are Democrats."

The Republican presidential contender was discussing the attack that killed three people at a Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs, Colo., on Friday. The shooting suspect, Robert Lewis Dear, was being held Monday with no bond with an initial charge of first-degree murder.

The suspect's reported mention of "baby parts" at the time of the shooting -as well as the location of the shooting - has linked the incident to the nation's ongoing debate on abortion. It also led some people to blame the incident on the ugly rhetoric surrounding Planned Parenthood.

"This whole episode has really displayed the ugly underbelly of media," Cruz said. "Every time you have some sort of violent crime or mass killing you can almost see the media salivating. Hoping, hoping desperately that the murderer happens to be a Republican so they can use it to try to paint their political enemies."

Cruz said Democrats fight for convicted felons to be able to vote.

"There's a reason why the Democrats for years have been viewed as soft on crime," Cruz said. "The Democrats know convicted felons tend to vote Democrat."

The Cruz campaign did not immediately respond to a request for the senator's source of information on the political affiliations of criminals.

And vice versa: The overwhelming majority of Democrats are morally equivalent to violent criminals.

Cruz will be quoted as saying that all Democrats are violent criminals in 3, 2, 1...

Actually, since 1972, when the Democrat platform came out pro-abortion, all members of the Democrat party HAVE been violent criminals. Anyone who belongs to a political party that endorses violent murder is a violent criminal.

I am certain that Cruz did not say this without thinking about it first.

I suspect that even at his most outrageous, Trump considers what he says before he says it. Other than “mocking” the disabled reporter, I bet Trump has no regrets about anything he has said because the responses were predictable and useful to his cause.

These guys are smart. The libmedia doesn’t get it. (Sometimes it is best to not be seen as the “smartest person in the room.”)

This is also why Obama wants to restore their ability to vote.

This is ALSO why the founders wanted to PREVENT their ability to vote. Who wants criminals making decisions on who leads the country?

“Who wants criminals making decisions on who leads the country?”

The DNC, maybe? That’s a pack of criminals to begin with.

Those people are salivating over all the convicts, illegals, & refujihadis who will be signed up to vote in 2016.

Never mind all the low information voters who elected Bammie twice.

Wiki sources: When Jerry Brown was governor of California he appointed Rose Bird as a supreme court, she would substitute her own opinions and ideas for the laws and was against the death penalty. She was removed by the voters in 1986 along with Cruz Reynoso and Joseph Grodin who he also appointed.

Rose Bird voted to reverse every single one of the sixty-one death penalty cases she heard, often joined by Justices Cruz Reynoso and Grodin.

NOW Jerry Brown has ordered the release of 40,000 prisoners who he sites as low offenders. Those released so far have raped, robbed, murdered etc. Most are still locked up in various county and city jails as people with common sense are blocking Jerry Brown on this issue. Jerry Brown wants 40,000 more democrat voters as he thinks they should be able to vote after being convicted.

WOW. CRUZ is ‘out-Trumping’ TRUMP.

I wonder what the media would’ve said is TRUMP had said that.

Ted Cruz on Monday equated Democrats with violent crime.

Nope. He simply pointed out the fact that most violent criminals are Democrats. He did no say that all or even most Democrats are violent criminals.

Did anyone in the media ever learn to do Vehn diagrams in school?

“Trump considers what he says before he says it. Other than “mocking” the disabled reporter...”

He may well have considered it. I think he’s brilliant. When he wants something to get reported, he does something ‘outrageous’ that gets it reported. Ben Carson attacked his mother when he was young, the media pretty much ignored it, so Trump uses a child molester analogy, and guess what! It gets great coverage, and that was the beginning of the end for Carson. And Trump later said that was EXACTLY why used that analogy. In the case with this reporter - he was claiming that Trump lied, even though his own article supported Trump - at least to some degree (and it looks like the NY Post has been outed on supporting most of the rest of Trump’s claims).

The key thing is not what he says or does, but what context is he doing it, and you’ll see it generally helps him get his message (or response) out, when otherwise no one would report on it.
