An argument could be made that denying Turkey EU membership to date has forced them to look east, has radicalized the country, and has elected Erdogan. I just put it out there for debate. The other side of the argument is that Turkey has progressed so far down the road to Islamicization that it is beyond recovery. And then there is the obvious corruption to profit off the misery of a terrorist organization.
The change necessary is getting them the hell out of NATO. They are on the dark side now. If they pull something crazy with Russia (like they already did)...WE are signed up to go to war with Russia AUTOMATICALLY as a part of NATO. Our only saving grace at the moment is the passivist jerk we have at the helm who ignores law and treaties.
