MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday said Turkey's political leaders had been encouraging the Islamisation of Turkish society, something he said was a problem, Russian agencies quoted him as saying.
Speaking a day after Turkey shot down one of Moscow's jets, Putin said:
"The problem is not the tragedy we witnessed yesterday," the TASS news agency quoted him as saying.
"The problem is much deeper. We observe ... that the current Turkish leadership over a significant number of years has been pursuing a deliberate policy of supporting the Islamisation of their country."(continued)

Erdogen is the Turkish Caliph, much like Hussein is the
US Caliph, bitterly clinging to his Secret Service guns and Goat Humper’s Bible.
Now he’s starting to remind me of Trump. He dares to say the things that an American president should be saying, especially because it’s so obvious.
Once Erdogan’s Islamists took power in Turkey it became clear that Ataturk’s attempt at a modern western state had failed. Turkey needs to be thrown out of NATO.
Islam cannot coexist peacefully with anyone. Their prophet and book forbid it. Mad Mo made it so.
If only Putin would eschew Iran and muzzies within Russia...
Yes, Turkey has gone backwards....They were secular like Iraq....which means sh**.
The U.S. “leaders” back the Islamisation of American society also. Must be something going around.
I think they’d like to reassemble the Ottoman Empire.
And if he can tell us again about that biggest mosque in Europe that he opened together with Erdogan in September...
Buried the lead did we?
Atleast pootin’ is a nationalist. Trump is just an old gasbag who is used to buying politicians for his financial gain; now, he has figured out that he can just cut out the middlemen.
In Moscow, forgot to add.
True
Well, that is a truthful statement.

Turkey has long frustrated Russia by allowing Chechen criminals to hide there and refusing extradition.
But some recent good news on that front...
Proving that not all Russian sources are on the same page and that Russian government is significantly bureaucratic, thus ending my search for the Almaz 92N6E Gravestone Engagement Radar that should have been onsite.
I think the US and Russia both play the same game.

How Russia Manipulates Islamic Terrorism
By Kyle Orton
September 8, 2015
Last year I wrote about the murky role Russia was playing in the Syrian war, bolstering the Assad tyranny while facilitating the rise of the Islamic State (ISIS) and other Salafi-jihadists as a means of dividing and discrediting the Syrian opposition. Moscow's action were in line with the strategy it had used to defeat the separatist movement in Chechnya, infiltrating the insurgency, driving it into extremism, and facilitating the arrival of al-Qaeda jihadists who displaced the Chechen nationalists.
In Syria, Russia's actions accord with the strategy adopted by the regime and its Iranian masters to present Assad as the last line of defence against a terrorist takeover of Syria and a genocide against the minorities. New evidence has emerged to underline these points. ..."
