On Friday, Mr. Aichele and other members of the church got the news that Officer Swasey had been shot, and they were asked to pray. When it became clear he had not survived, Mr. Aichele said, they gathered at his home, where his wife broke the news to their 10-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter.

“She had to tell her kids that their daddy wasn’t coming home,” Mr. Aichele said.

Officer Swasey and I were in Cub Scouts together, my mother was the den mother. I’m shocked and saddened by this. Far too young for this to happen. My prayers to his family.

I have yet to read what I read in the Colorado Springs news - this was a botched bank robbery. Boy, the libs just are loving that the guy holed up in PP. Makes their day. Lord we lift this family up.
