Moshe Holtzberg, the surviving child of Rabbi Gavriel and Rivka Holtzbergâco-directors of the Chabad House in Mumbai, India, who were killed by terrorists in November 2008âwill recite Tehillim (Psalms)
The world first came to know âBaby Moshe,â or little Moishe Holtzberg, in November 2008 after the brutal slaying of his parents, Rabbi Gavriel and Rivka Holtzberg, directors of the Chabad House in Mumbai, India.
Seven years later, Moshe, who is almost 9, lives in Afula, Israel, with his maternal grandparentsâRabbi Shimon and Yehudit Rosenberg. Surrounded by family, he is said to be a happy, healthy boy.
The world will once again get to know Moshe when he leads thousands of Chabad-Lubavitch emissaries from around the world and their guests in the recitation of Tehillim (Psalms) in Hebrew during the Nov. 8 gala dinner that concludes nearly a week of workshops, programs, a communal Shabbat dinner and more as part of the annual International Conference of Chabad-Lubavitch Emissaries (Kinus Hashluchim).
It was just days before Mosheâs second birthday when terrorists stormed the Chabad House in Mumbai, taking the toddler, his parents and several tourists hostage on Nov. 26. Mosheâs nanny, Sandra Samuel, was also in the building but had managed to hide in a room downstairs. She emerged only when she heard Mosheâs cries and found him standing between his parentsâ bodies. Without thinking, she grabbed him and ran, reciting Psalm 23 as she fled the building, which was known as the âNariman House.â
Bless that woman who risked her life to save him.
He looks like a happy fella.....
yes, but click on the link showing him crying for his mother at his parents’ funeral 7 years ago. Breaks your heart
