The original Washington Post article by Mr Kovaleski said that authorities in Jersey City "detained and questioned a number of people who were allegedly seen celebrating the attacks and holding tailgate-style parties on rooftops while they watched the devastation on the other side of the river".
Since Trump's claims about Muslim Americans celebrating 9/11, the reporter has said he does "not recall anyone saying there were thousands, or even hundreds, of people celebrating".
---------
The press has lied, because Trump never said there were thousands or hundreds of Muslims celebrating the destruction of the World Trade Center. He only used an analogy to indicate the term "tailgate" used by the The Washing post reporters signified there were far more than two such Muslim celebrants.

I have observed that in everything “controversial” that Trump says or does, the bottom line is he is telling this nation to “man up”. Everyone, whether they’re disabled or a POW or a hyphenated American, just man up and stop boo hooing like a victim. THAT is a concept we haven’t seen demonstrated in a long, long time.

In the spirit of non-PC expression, and judging from TV coverage of various demos and meetings, I think that the Democrats have the spaz vote locked up already.
